    TROJAN CLUB OF LONG BEACH

    Director of Communication's Message

    The Long Beach Trojan Club hosts several fun events during the year to promote Trojan spirit and raise money for USC's Athletic Department recruiting and our adopted sport, men's and women's swimming.

    We kick off the season with a Burger Bash in September, featuring the always lively Dr. Arthur C. Bartner and the Spirit of Troy Marching Band. We hold various dinner meetings with coaches, ex-athletes, or sporting commentators. One of our most anticipated events is held just before national "signing day" in the winter for football recruits, where we hear expert commentary from a sports writer on who we hope to get, might get, and the like. We also run a bus to each home football game - riders bring their own tailgating supplies or join one of the many tailgates on campus or at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. "Leave the driving" to us.

    Club Tidbits
    We will be running a bus to the Coliseum for all home games. The bus will leave Tracy's Sports Bar and Grill, 5511 E. Spring Street (corner of Bellflower Blvd.) To make reservations, e-mail Julio Nunez at jjn1262@aol.com. Questions, call 562 628-9948. Buses may typically leave about 3.5 hours prior to game, more information will be given to you upon registering for the LBTC buses.

My wife Roberta and I are looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead. I want to say thanks so much for helping our program with your generous gift to this wonderful facility we call home. Our facilities are second to none and one of the best draws to our great University of Southern California.
