Making a Gift - An Investment in Excellence
Since 1926, USC has won nearly 100 national team titles in 15 different men's and women's sports. While Trojan athletes have won all of those national titles as well as 217 Olympic medals, they have also gone on to successful careers in business, education, medicine, law and a host of other fields.
Each of our 19 men's and women's sports awards the maximum number of scholarships allowed-more than 260 in all-and we currently pay the university nearly $50,000 annually for each of those scholarships.
That adds up to a bill totaling approximately $10 million a year, and this figure doesn't include all of the other costs to put our teams on the field, such as travel, medical care, equipment and coaches' salaries.
Our goals here are simple: to compete at the highest level and to graduate all of our student-athletes.
This is where you come in. By making a contribution to the USC Athletic Department, you can help us recruit, coach and educate the nation's finest student-athletes. You will become an active participant in our success. You will share in the challenge, but also share in the glory.
Athletic Support Group Membership
Athletic support groups support athletic scholarships for all of our 19 sports. Find out information on how to join an athletic support group, including details on priority seating benefits as well as scholarship endowment. You may also choose to designate your gift to a sport of your choice.
Scholarship Club, The Committee, Cardinal and Gold or Women of Troy you can take pride in knowing that your contribution goes directly to our scholarship fund. Your membership in one of these groups is an investment in the present success of our teams and future success of our graduating student-athletes.
Members of the Trojan Club are also essential to our success- their memberships help offset rising recruiting costs.

Ways to Give
Cash, Check, Credit Card or Stock
Gifts can be made in the form of cash, checks (made payable to USC), by Visa/Mastercard/Discover or Stock.
Matching Gifts
Many corporations will match employee gift contributions to charitable institutions. Consult your company's benefits office for details.
Endowments
Endowments are an excellent way to ensure the continued support of Trojan Athletics. Each year the earned interest is used to pay scholarships while the principal is reinvested. An endowed scholarship can be in your name or the name of a loved one. You can also designate which specific program you want to support or contribute to existing endowments.
Gifts-In-Kind
Gifts or services can be donated to the athletic department. The wholesale value of your gift will be credited to your name, as well as the deduction for the contribution. Printing, furniture, floral, catering, office supplies and building supplies are all areas of need for the athletic department.
Planned Giving
Gifts made through wills and revocable trusts are often directed to the permanent endowment of the athletic department. This is a high priority since it provides a permanent source of financial support and a strong base for USC's growth.
Your bequest may be unrestricted to athletics - to be used at the discretion of the department for the highest priorities - or you may designate it for a specific sport scholarship or program. Your gift may be made in your name or to memorialize a loved one. For further information, contact Director of Planned Giving Lambert Bittinger at (213) 740-4155.
