USC's Cross Country Team To Compete At West Regional Friday|

USC's women's cross country team will compete on Friday, November 14 at the NCAA West Cross Country Regional hosted by Stanford at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif. The women's 6K race will begin at 11 a.m. with 38 teams and nearly 600 runners competing.
The Trojans will be sending a five-woman team of seniors Erica Capellino and Kira Soderstrom and juniors Katerina Berdousi, Reika Kijima and Jenna Tong. Tong, who set her 6K PR of 21:42 at the 2013 NCAA West Regional, is the only Trojan to have competed at the regional meet in the past.
The top two teams and the top four individuals not on qualifying teams and finishing within the top 25 advance to the NCAA Championships to be held on Nov. 22 in Terra Haute, Ind. The West Regional is one of nine regionals around the country. Eighteen teams and 36 individuals will advance automatically. Thirteen teams and two individuals will be chosen by an NCAA subcommittee on Saturday for at-large selections.
