Junior Brooke Thomas ran 18:45.30 to finish sixth and lead the USC women's cross country 'B' team to a 10th-place finish at the UC Riverside Invitational last Saturday (Sept. 21).
Utah State won the team title with a score of 70, followed by Track West with 73 and UC Santa Barbara with 77. USC's score was 261.
After Thomas, Jasmin Treadway finished 81st for USC (20:40.60), while Rae Stumbough was 82nd (20:49.20) and Jessica Cuevas was 96th (21:15.80). Guiselle Torres was 128th (23:32.20).
USC is next in action at the Cal State Northridge Invitational on Oct. 5.
