    Strachan is a 2002 graduate of Foothill High in Santa Ana, Calif. .... A four-year cross country and track letterwinner and a two-year soccer letterwinner...Was a member of the 2000 California State Championship cross country team...Named Los Angeles Times and Orange County Register First-Team All-County in 2000 and 2001...Selected as Century League Runner of the Year in 1999, 2000 and 2001...Honored as Foothill High Knight of the Year in 1999, 2000 and 2002...A four-year honor roll member.

    Her father, Rod, was a 1976 Olympic gold medalist in the 400 IM and an NCAA champion in swimming for the Trojans...Her sister, Katie, runs cross country for LMU and her brother, Brian, and mother, Mary Kate, also attended USC...A staff member of the "Swim With Mike" program...Names Lance Armstrong as her biggest sports hero...Lists baking, reading and going to the beach as her favorite pastimes... Is a double major in history and communications and would like to attend law school after graduation.
