USC Cross Country Team To Race At Northridge Invitational Saturday

AT USC: Shannon Byrne begins her first season of running cross country for USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Byrne is a 2011 graduate of Newbury Park High in Newbury Park, Calif... She ran both cross country and track for the Panthers...Had a season-best three-mile cross country time of 18:38.85 to place third in the Marmonte Cross Country Finals...Won the varsity 1500m race at the 2011 Santa Barbara Easter Relays with a time of 4:51.44...Posted a PR of 11:09.69 to place fourth in the 3200m race and a season-best 5:03.66 to place second in the 1600m race at the Marmonte League Championships on May 6...Had a season-best time of 2:20.47 in the 800m at the Arcadia Invitational...Has PRs of 2:20.45 in the 800m and 5:00.49 in the 1600m.
