AT USC: Allysa Reardon is beginning her second season as a cross country runner for USC...She began her collegiate career playing soccer at Santiago Canyon College....2013: Made good strides in her first-ever season of running cross country. Her first race was the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on Oct. 11 and she was the Trojans' sixth finisher and 29th overall with a time of 26:11.55. Also ran at the Highlander Invitational on Oct. 19 and was the ninth Trojan and 81st overall with a time of 21:05.7. Ran on the track team in the spring and had a best 1500m race of 5:09.08 at the Triton Invitational on April 26.
BEFORE USC: Originally was going to come to USC to play soccer, then had her admission deferred and played a season at Santiago Canyon. After enrolling at USC she decided to focus on a new sport and compete in cross country for the first time last Fall.
HIGH SCHOOL: Reardon is a 2011 graduate of El Dorado High in Placentia, Calif.
PERSONAL: Alyssa was born on Aug. 30, 1993 in Irvine, Calif. She is a double major in human biology and psychology...Would like someday to work as a sports psychologist in the UEFA Champions League...Lists her hobbies as soccer and bodysurfing at the wedge in Newport....Says her favorite sports team is Barcelona FC....Her favorite foods are smoothies and steak....Lists her favorite movie as 500 Days of Summer and favorite musician as Bon Iver...Says her sports hero is Lionel Messi because he is humble, dedicated and skillful. Her parents are Sharon and Andrew and she has three siblings, David, Nathan and Kayla. Her father earned an MBA from USC. Alyssa is a volunteer at the Tuffree Middle School.
