USC women's water polo has a set of five Women of Troy engaging in action at the 2014 FINA World Cup in Russia this week. All national champions while at Troy, these Trojans will cap up for the United States, Australia and Spain when competition kicks off tomorrow (Aug. 12) in the battle for hardware in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk.

Two-time Olympian Kami Craig is a resident veteran of Team USA. Boasting gold and silver medals to go along with a 2010 NCAA Championship won while at USC, Craig stands out as one of the Trojans' most decorated players. She is not the only national champ splashing down in Russia, however. Her USA teammate Kaleigh Gilchrist just finished her USC career, where she won the 2013 NCAA Championship and was a three-time All-American.

Gilchrist will be reunited with three other members of that recent 2013 title-winning team while in Russia. Spain's Anni Espar was a freshman on that championship team less than a year after winning silver at the 2012 Olympics and just months before winning gold at the 2013 FINA World Championships. Meanwhile, Australia boasts a pair of 2013 NCAA champs in current USC junior Jayde Appel and former Trojan Hannah Buckling. That duo also captured the silver medal at the 2013 FINA World Championships.
