LOS ANGELES -- Sofia Konoukh scored three goals Saturday to lead the No. 2 USC Trojans to an 8-1 non-conference win over the host No. 9 Loyola Marymount Lions, 8-1. Konoukh leads the Women of Troy with 63 goals this season.
The Women of Troy outscored the Lions, 4-1, in the second period and held a 6-1 lead at halftime. USC finishes the regular season with a 24-3 overall record and will host the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Water Polo Championship this weekend (Fri, April 26 through Sunday, April 28) at McDonald's Swim Stadium.
