LOS ANGELES - Senior Sofia Konoukh scored five goals Saturday and the No. 1 USC Trojans defeated the No. 12 UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, 14-6, in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action at McDonald's Swim Stadium.

USC improves to 18-3 overall and 9-1 in MPSF play while UCSB falls to 14-14 overall, 3-6 in MPSF play.

Nina Wengst, Aniko Pelle and Konoukh scored in the first period as USC took a 3-0 lead. The Women of Troy outscored the Gauchos, 5-2, in the second period to take an 8-2 lead at halftime.

USC will host Hawai'i to complete MPSF play on Friday (March 12) at 5 p.m. at McDonald's Swim Stadium.
