LOS ANGELES - Nina Wengst scored a team-high four goals Saturday and the No. 3 USC Trojans defeated the Pacific Tigers, 21-9, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match at McDonald's Swim Stadium. USC has now won seven straight matches.
The Women of Troy (17-3, 6-2) were in control the entire match, holding a 7-3 lead after the first period and a 12-4 margin at halftime against the Tigers (3-17, 0-8).
USC also got hat tricks from Sofia Konoukh, Aniko Pelle and Sandra Milicev.
Freshman Courtney Lee picked up the win in goal for the Trojans. Lee played in the first three periods before being replaced by senior Kendra Browne in the fourth period.
The Women of Troy will host San Diego State on Saturday (April 7) and UC Irvine on Sunday (April 8). Sunday's match will be the final home match of the season for USC.
