SANJOSE--USC got four goals each from Sofia Konoukh and Katrin Dierolf to defeat the San Jose State women's water polo team, 10-6, Saturday afternoon in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match at the Aquatics Center.
Konoukh scored two goals in the first period for USC (10-2, 3-1) and two in the second. Dierolf added two goals in the first period and a goal in the third and fourth periods.
Neva West and Jessamyn Grewal each had two goals for the Spartans. Inna Fedoseyeva and Christine Scott each scored once.
San Jose State falls to 7-6 overall and 1-1 in the MPSF.
USC returns home for a cross-town MPSF battle at UCLA on Friday (March 9) at 3 p.m.
