SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Senior utility Sofia Konoukh scored four goals Sunday and the No. 3 USC Trojans defeated the No. 4 California Bears, 9-4, in the third-place match at the UCSB Gaucho Invitational. The Women of Troy went 3-1 during the tournament and are 10-2 overall in the 2002 season.

USC lost to No. 2 UCLA earlier in the day, 4-2, getting goals from Sandra Milicev and Katrin Dierolf.

USC travels to the Bay Area this weekend to resume Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play with matches on Saturday at California and Sunday at Pacific.
