LOS ANGELES - Juniors Sofia Konoukh, Aniko Pelle and Sandra Milicev scored two goals each to lead USC (6-0, 2-0) to a 9-4 victory Sunday over the Long Beach State 49ers (3-2, 0-1) in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match at McDonald's Swim Stadium.
Junior Shelli Linza, junior Nina Wengst and sophomore Katrin Dierolf also tallied goals for the Women of Troy.
USC held a 3-0 lead at halftime.. In the third period, both teams exploded on offense as USC scored five times while Long Beach State scored three times.
The Women of Troy will compete next weekend at the UC Santa Barbara Tournament.
