    STOCKTON, Calif. -- The top-ranked USC women's water polo team defeated the host Pacific Tigers, 19-3, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation matchup on Saturday at Chris Kjeldsen Pool. The Women of Troy remain unbeaten at 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the MPSF while Pacific falls to 0-3 on the season and 0-2 in MPSF play.

    USC jumped out of the gates quickly on the offensive end, scoring the first four goals of the game as Brittany Hayes scored two of the those goals and USC led 4-0 with 3:47 to play in the first quarter.

    Pacific got their first goal at the 2:42 mark in the first quarter as sophomore Julia Snyder netted her first goal of the year to cut the lead down to three at 4-1.

    Pacific would not score again until the fourth quarter as USC would go on a 13-0 run over the next two and half periods to open up a lead of 17-1 going into the fourth quarter.

    USC placed nine players in the scorer's book led by Liz Simms' 4 goals, while goalie Kelly Graff finished with six saves.

    The Women of Troy will host UC Santa Barbara in another MPSF match on Saturday (Feb. 21) at noon at McDonald's Swim Stadium.
