PALO ALTO, CALIF. - The No. 2 USC women's water polo team is on its way to play for the Stanford Invitational championship this afternoon after a winning run through group play. Thanks to a 9-7 win over No. 5 Hawai'i this morning, USC will go up against top-ranked host Stanford in the title match at 4:30 p.m. today at Avery Aquatic Center.

The Women of Troy moved into the title match thanks to a 9-7 win over Hawai'i to round out group play at the top of their bracket. USC generated a powerful first half attack to make some room between itself and the Rainbow Wahine. USC jumped ahead 3-1 in the first frame and then rolled to a 7-4 halftime lead. USC would get ahead 9-6 before a minor injury to USC goalie Flora Bolonyai put USC two-meter player Kristen Dronberger in the cage. The senior tallied one save, while Hawai'I got one goal through in the final two minutes to make it a 9-7 final in USC's favor.

Nadia Dan recorded her third straight hat trick with her three-goal outing to lead the Trojan scoring in the win over the Rainbow Wahine. Bolonyai had eight saves in the game and is set to cap back up in goal for USC in the championship.
