LOS ANGELES - Junior Katrin Dierolf registered a team-high five goals Wednesday as the No. 3 USC Trojans defeated the Cal Baptist Lancers, 18-5, in nonconference action at McDonald's Swim Stadium.

USC (2-0) jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in the first period. Cal Baptist (1-1) came back with two straight goals by Katie Ferguson, cutting the Trojans' lead to 4-3. The Women of Troy, however, would put the match away with six unanswered goals for a 10-4 lead at halftime.

USC will travel north this weekend for the Stanford Tournament on Saturday (Feb. 9) and Sunday (Feb. 10).
