    Women of Troy Dig In For FINA World Cup Competition

    USC is represented on three teams in action in Russia this week.

    THIS SEASON: Jayde Appel enters her third season of competition at USC.

    2014: Appel scored 25 goals in her second season of action at USC... Scored in 13 games with seven multiple-goal outings, including a career-high four goals scored against Bakersfield in the MPSF Tournament... Scored eight goals during the MPSF Tournament.

    2013: Appel was fourth on the team in scoring in her first season of competition at USC with 33 goals... Scored six goals at the NCAA Tournament, including a hat trick in the NCAA Semifinals... Scored in 17 games with 11 multiple-goal outings... Set career high with five hat tricks during the year... Named MPSF Newcomer of the Week on March 11.

    NATIONAL TEAMS: Appel is a member of the Australian National Team... Won silver at the 2013 FINA World Championships... Also competed for the Australian Junior National Team at the 2013 FINA Junior World Championships... Won bronze at the 2011 Junior World Championships.
