    THIS SEASON: Ilse Van der Meijden enters her first season at USC.

    NATIONAL TEAMS: Van der Meijden won an Olympic gold medal with the Netherlands at the 2008 Olympic Games... Was the Netherlands' top goalie in Beijing and had nine saves in the gold-medal game against the USA... Named the Best Goalie at the 2007 Olympic Qualification Tournament and at the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Junior European Championships... Named to 2005 All-Star team at the Junior World Championships.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Van der Meijden played club in the Netherlands for Zu de Vuursche and Bzc Brandenburg.
