USC Takes No. 3 Seed Into MPSF Tourney
Women of Troy open against San Jose State on Friday in Palo Alto.
THIS SEASON: Nadia Dan enters her final season at USC and wields one of the quickest left-handed shots in the college game.
2011: Dan was third on the team in scoring with 38 goals as a junior... Earned All-America Honorable Mention... Also earned All-MPSF Honorable Mention... Scored in 23 different games with nine multiple-goal outings.
2010: Dan scored 20 goals as a sophomore... Scored in 14 different games with four multiple-goal efforts... Matched her career high of four goals in a win over San Jose State.
2009: Dan scored 24 goals as a true freshman... Scored in 13 different games with eight multiple-goal outings... Set a career high mark with four goals in USC's NCAA first round win over Cal Lutheran.
HIGH SCHOOL: Dan was selected the 2008 CIF Division IV Player of the Year out of CIF finalist La Cañada High... Also a three-time All-CIF First Team pick... Named to LA Daily News All-Area First Team... Played club for Los Angeles WPC... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Dan is majoring in business... Parents are Vlad and Irmgard... Has one sister, Ina... Father Vlad was a member of the Romanian National Team Handball team... Favorite food is sushi...
