No. 3 Women of Troy Make Moves To NorCal For MPSF Wrapup
USC can move into top position in MPSF standings with victories at San Jose State and Stanford this week.
THIS SEASON: Michelle Caron enters her first season at USC.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Caron is a member of the Canadian National Team... Won bronze medals with Canada at the 2009 Holiday Cup and 2009 Canada Cup... With the Canadian Junior National Team, won gold at the 2008 and 2010 Junior Pan American Games... Also competed at the 2009 Junior World Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: Caron spent her senior year at Miramonte High in Orinda, Calif... Played water polo and swam at Miramonte, named to the North Coast Section First Team... Scored 88 goals with 88 steals, 42 assists and 34 blocks in her senior season... Also earned All-American honors in swimming for two relays... Previously attended St. Thomas High in Montreal, Canada... Played club for Diablo Water Polo in California, and for DDO Water Polo in Canada... Won silver and bronze medals playing at the Senior Canadian National Club Championships in 2011 and 2009... Also won silver and gold at the under-22 level and gold and silver at the under-18 level.
PERSONAL: Caron is majoring in biophysics with a premed emphasis... Parents are Camille and Jeff... Has one sister, Kaitlyn... Says representing Canada for the first time in an international tournament is her most thrilling sports experience... Enjoys reading in her free time... Favorite food is raspberries... Hopes to compete in the 2016 Olympic Games after graduation and then go on to medical school... Born April 4, 1993.
