WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - USC women's volleyball senior All-American libero Natalie Hagglund received her third selection for Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention as the conference announced its 2013 All-Academic teams on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Hagglund was also chosen for a second time to the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII team earlier this month and was a CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2012.

Junior outside hitter Emily Young received her second honorable mention selection by the Pac-12 and was joined by fellow junior middle blocker Hannah Schraer who received her first such honor.

A two-time AVCA All-American and a 2012 CoSIDA Academic All-American, Hagglund holds a 3.59 GPA in communications and is set to graduate from the prestigious Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in May 2014. She is a two-time winner of the Pac-12's Libero of the Year award and became USC's all-time career leader in digs in October. Hagglund has now moved into third place in Pac-12 history for digs and owns four of USC's top ten all-time single-season records for digs.

Young has maintained a 3.66 GPA at the highly-competitive Marshall School of Business and is on track to receive a degree in business administration in May 2015. She has played in 24 matches this season and has recorded 93 kills (1.43 kps) with 32 blocks. Schraer is one of USC's starting middle blockers and holds a 3.13 GPA on track to a degree in policy, planning, and development from the Sol Price School of Policy. She is second on the team in blocks (1.03 bps) and adds 1.43 kps with a .338 hitting percentage this season.

To be eligible for selection to the all-academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

The seventh-ranked Trojans (24-5, 14-4 Pac-12) wrap up the regular-season schedule this week and will visit crosstown rival UCLA (15-13, 6-12) for a 7 p.m. PT match today (Nov. 27) at Pauley Pavilion in Westwood, Calif. The rivalry showdown will be broadcast live regionally on the Pac-12 Networks with Kevin Barnett and Holly McPeak on the call. USC plays its final regular-season match at the Galen Center and will honor seniors Hagglund, Alexis Olgard, and Sara Shawbefore it faces Colorado on Friday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. PT.

From there, the Trojans await a 23rd consecutive selection into the NCAA tournament (31st overall) and may host first- and second-round matches at the Galen Center. USC will host the Los Angeles Regional Championship set for Dec. 13-14 (Friday-Saturday).
