No. 1 USC's Streak Halted by No. 5 Huskies
The No. 1-ranked USC women's volleyball team (22-1, 10-1 Pac-12) had its 22-match winning streak stopped by No. 5 Washington (19-2, 9-2 Pac-12) in a 3-0 loss (26-24, 25-21, 25-15) to the Huskies on Friday, Oct. 30, at Alaska Airlines Arena. The Women of Troy had won the program's most matches in a row since a 52-match streak that spanned from 2002 to 2004.

The Women of Troy carry an eight-match winning streak into the beginning of conference play and have turned things around since opening the season with three straight losses. Last year, the Trojans went 18-2 and shared the Pac-12 title with Washington. It was the program's eighth league championship, the fourth under head coach Mick Haley, and the first since USC claimed the first Pac-12 title in 2011.

LAST TIME OUT: The Women of Troy extended their winning streak to eight matches and produced a pair of 3-0 sweeps over Oklahoma and Maryland as hosts of the Pac-12 Challenge at Galen Center. Elise Ruddins and Khalia Lanier were each named to the all-tournament team. The Trojans completed their eighth straight win following an inauspicious 0-3 start to the season. In the process, USC won its 16th out of the last 17 sets played and brought 16th-year head coach Mick Haley his 400th victory with the program when it defeated the Terrapins on Friday, Sept. 16.
