LOS ANGELES -- The eighth-ranked Women of Troy (3-0) make the program's first-ever trip into the state of Iowa for the UNI Tournament this weekend (Sept. 4-5). The Trojans will face Creighton (1-2) on Friday, Sept. 4 (4:30 p.m. CT) and then take on No. 10 Kentucky (3-1) on Saturday, Sept. 5 (10 a.m. CT) and close the tournament against host Northern Iowa (1-2) that evening at 7:30 p.m. Though USC faces UNI for the fourth time, it will be the first time it does so in the Hawkeye state.

No. 6 USC Flies By Bluejays For Fifth Straight Win
The sixth-ranked USC women's volleyball team (5-0) extended its season-opening winning streak to five matches with a four-set win (22-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-18) over Creighton (3-2) in the Commonwealth Classic at Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, Sept. 6. The Women of Troy were led again by junior outside hitter Samantha Bricio who produced her third double-double in four matches with 13 kills (2e, 36att, .306) and 15 digs. Bricio also had two service aces and three blocks (one solo) to finish with a match-high 17.0 points.
No. 6 Trojans Claim Commonwealth Classic Championship
The sixth-ranked USC women's volleyball team (6-0) earned a 3-0 sweep (25-21, 25-22, 27-25) of Northern Iowa (2-4) to win the 2014 Commonwealth Classic at Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, Sept. 6. The Women of Troy have now started the season 6-0 in each of the last two years.
