LOS ANGELES -- The USC women's volleyball team unveiled its 2015 schedule on Monday, June 22, and was selected to appear in 18 live broadcasts on the Pac-12 Networks this fall. The 18 matches tops all of the conference's 12 teams, which will each appear at least 12 times (home and away) on the league networks.

The Trojans will host a pair of non-conference home tournaments in 2015 including the season-opening Women of Troy Baden Invitational set for Aug. 28-29 at the Galen Center. In it, USC starts the season with a rematch against its last opponent of 2014; defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion North Carolina. The Women of Troy will also play Chicago State in the tourney before it concludes opening weekend with a bout against West Coast Conference champion and the 2014 NCAA runner-up BYU. Both the UNC and BYU matches will be carried live by the Pac-12 Networks.

"We like the challenges that our schedule presents," said head coach Mick Haley. "This is a high-RPI schedule with what we feel is great competition from outside our conference. North Carolina, which has become a power in the ACC, and last year's NCAA runner-up BYU are our opponents on opening weekend. Right after that, we will face top-25 teams including Kentucky, Creighton, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. We're hopeful that the tough start will prepare us to contend for the Pac-12 Conference championship."

USC's schedule includes clashes with two teams that advanced to the 2014 final four: BYU and Stanford. North Carolina was an NCAA regional finalist, and four more Pac-12 foes were regional semifinalists: Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, and UCLA. In all, the Trojans will meet 14 teams that were chosen to the NCAA tournament a year ago.

The Trojans will face Creighton, Kentucky, and host Northern Iowa in the UNI Tournament, Sept. 4-5, at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and will head to Norman, Okla., for matches against host Oklahoma (Sept. 17) and Maryland (Sept. 18) in the Oklahoma Nike Invitational at the McCasland Field House. In their other home tournament, the Women of Troy host Utah State, Pepperdine, Idaho State, and New Mexico at the Galen Center, Sept. 10-12, for the USC Classic.

In its fourth season, the Pac-12 Networks will kick off its live coverage of women's volleyball on Friday, Aug. 28, with a doubleheader. Defending conference champion Stanford hosts Texas A&M at 6 p.m. PT and will be followed by the USC-UNC matchup at 8 p.m. The pair of matches is just two of 92 matches that the Pac-12 Networks is set to broadcast.

USC will open the Pac-12 schedule with a road match against rival UCLA on Sept. 23 (Wednesday) at Pauley Pavilion and then must face Stanford on Sept. 27 (Sunday) at Maples Pavilion. Both matches will be carried by the Pac-12 Networks. With a record 10 teams chosen for the 2014 NCAA tournament, the Pac-12 remains the most competitive conference for women's volleyball in the country. USC concludes the season with home matches against UCLA (Nov. 25) and with California (Nov. 27) on Senior Night. The Trojans are 112-20 (.848) in matches at the Galen Center.

Last year, the Women of Troy (16-16, 8-12 Pac-12) finished 10th in the conference, but were selected to the program's 24th straight NCAA tournament (32nd overall). USC defeated Coastal Carolina in the first round, but fell to site host No. 7 North Carolina in the second round in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Trojans return All-American outside hitter Samantha Bricio and All-America honorable mention libero Taylor Whittingham to the lineup in 2015.
