    No. 6 USC Sweeps Oregon State To End Drought In Corvallis

    CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Junior outside hitter Jennifer Kessy's 18 kills and 15 digs led USC to a 15-11, 15-5, 15-8 win at Oregon State on Friday night, the Women of Troy's first win in Corvallis since 1993. USC improved to 13-2 overall and 6-2 in the Pac-10. Oregon State dropped to 10-8, 2-4.

    Kessy's performance was her eighth double-double of the season and 29th for her career. In addition for USC, junior middle blocker Jasmina Marinkovic had 15 kills (hitting .448) and fellow junior middle blocker Alaina Kipps added 10 kills (hitting .667) and 7 blocks. USC outhit Oregon State, .318 to .156 and outblocked the Beavers, 11-5. Junior setter Janice Mounts had 55 assists in the 3-game match and had 12 digs.

    USC next hosts Pepperdine on Wednesday (Oct. 15) at the North Gym at 7 p.m. and then plays at UCLA on Friday (Oct. 17) at 7:30 p.m.
