The Trojans have appeared in nine regional championships matches since the NCAA tournament was expanded to include 64 teams in 1998.
The Trojans lost a postseason match in the state of Texas for just the second time in their history, and now have an 11-2 mark in postseason matches played in the Lone Star State. The only previous loss was a five-set defeat at the hands of 2011 NCAA runner-up Illinois in San Antonio.

Junior libero Natalie Hagglund had 14 digs and moved into second place for career digs at USC, past Katie Haller (1990-93) who had 1,702. Hagglund now has 1,706.
Freshman outside hitter Samantha Bricio had seven kills and moved into ninth place for single-season kills at USC. She finished her first year with the Trojans with 491 and moved ahead of Lonise Norfleet who had 486 in 1990.
Freshman outside hitter Samantha Bricio had 31 attacks to log the second most in a single season by a Trojan. She moved ahead of All-American outside hitter Alex Jupiter's2011 season when she had 1,297. Bricio finished the year with 1,325.
Sophomore setter Hayley Crone had 36 assists to finish the year with 1,337 and move into eighth place at USC for single-season assists.
Freshman outside hitter Samantha Briciohad one service ace to finish the season with 43 and move into a seventh-place tie with Megan McCallister (1988) for single-season service aces at USC.
Junior libero Natalie Hagglund became just the second player in USC history to record at least 600 digs in a single season. She joined Debora Seilhamer who had 721 in 2006 and 696 in 2005. Hagglund completed the season with 613 digs.
Texas will make its eighth trip to the NCAA semifinal match.
