USC Head Coach MICK HALEY
“I thought the USC team was very focused tonight and did a very good job of coming out with high intensity. It is very seldom you get a chance to play your entire squad in an NCAA tournament game and it was very important for us to do that because each player works very hard in practice and they get to have a chance to improve. I feel like we are ready for tomorrow night’s match.”
On tomorrow’s match and future games…
“Honestly we will not look past this match tomorrow night. Coach Stark knows a lot about volleyball and he has taken a program that has not been highly funded and brought it to the NCAA’s. Cal State Northridge is a very good team who has fought and come out on their conference. Northridge will not lay down tomorrow night, so we are not going to look beyond. For this entire tournament we will not look beyond any team. We are going to focus on Northridge and we are going to be ready for them because we expect them to bring their A game. ”

On the chemistry of the team this year…
“We are closer together now because we have had the entire season to bond. I feel like after conference our chemistry improved the most. I feel like the team is more like my family than before.”
ELISE RUDDINS, Fr.
On playing on their home court…
“We get to practice in Galen [Center] every day. We are comfortable with the gym and it is a big advantage.”
