Women's Volleyball Falls to Long Beach State

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Despite 24 kills from Antoinette Polk, the USC women's volleyball team lost its first match of the season, 12-15, 15-13, 13-15, 15-10, 15-7, at Long Beach State on Saturday night.

USC dropped to 1-1 while Long Beach State improved to 4-0.

The Women of Troy hit just .186 compared to the 49ers' .236.

Polk also had a match-high 17 digs. Janae Henry added 16 kills and 12 digs, while Jennifer Pahl had 10 kills, 16 digs and five blocks and Kashi Cormier had 13 kills.

USC next travels to Honolulu to play in the Hawaii Tournament on Sept. 9-11.
