    She played in every match during the season, making 28 starts...recorded 215 kills (2.09 kps) with 11 assists (0.11 aps), 15 aces (0.15 saps), 245 digs (2.38 dps), 30 blocks (0.29 bps) and 252.0 points (2.45 pps)...finished the season with eight kills and 18 digs on Dec. 15 in the NCAA semifinal against No. 7 Illinois in San Antonio...in the NCAA Honolulu Regional final against Pepperdine on Dec. 10, she had seven kills, 15 digs and three blocks...against Hawai'i, she posted eight kills with 11 digs, two aces and two solo blocks...had seven kills and 12 digs in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in a sweep against Yale and tallied seven kills with 11 digs and three blocks in the second round against Tulsa...had 10 kills with nine digs and hit .333 on November 18 in a four-set win against Arizona State...registered a career-high 17 kills on November 12 at No. 20 Oregon while hitting .538 (17-3-26) with two assists, seven digs and one solo block during the 3-0 sweep...recorded 10 kills and seven digs on Oct. 14 in a four-set win over No. 16 Oregon...on October 8 at Arizona State, she tied her career best with 15 kills and set a new personal best with 19 digs in the four-set victory...tied a then-career best with 12 digs in a 3-0 sweep on Sept. 30 at Colorado...on Sept. 24 against No. 2 Stanford, she had 11 kills and a career-high three blocks in the 3-0 sweep...posted a .481 percentage on 15 kills with 11 digs in a 3-0 sweep on Sept. 16 at No. 4 Washington.

    She played in 32 matches as a freshman, recording 36 kills (0.37 kps) for a .207 hitting percentage with seven assists (0.07 aps), three aces (0.03 saps), 136 digs (1.40 dps), 12 blocks (0.12 bps) and 45.5 points (0.46 pps)...received Pac-10 Conference All-Freshman Team honorable mention...had a season-high 12 digs with one kill on Dec. 11 against No. 3 Stanford in the NCAA Dayton Regional final...had two kills and eight digs on Nov. 20 at No. 23 Oregon...recorded a then-season-high 10 digs in a 3-0 sweep on Oct. 23 against Oregon State...recorded three kills, one ace, five digs and two block assists on Sept. 18 against Cal State Bakersfield...posted season-highs on Aug. 28 against Cal State Fullerton with seven kills and 7.0 points.

    She was a four-year letterwinner at Westlake High in Austin, Texas for coach Al Bennett...rated No. 11 nationally by Prep Volleyball and played for the 2009 U.S. Women's Junior National Team...was a finalist for the Prep Volleyball National Player of the Year honor and 2010 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection...earned 2009-10 Under Armour All-America first team honors after leading Westlake to its third straight Class 5A state final and was named 2009 Gatorade State Player of the Year...also earned 2009 MaxPreps High School All-America first team and Austin American-Statesman Central Texas Player of the Year honors...led the Chaparrals with 453 kills, 322 digs, 59 aces and 47 blocks as the team finished with a 39-7 record...despite a close five-set loss, Shaw posted 23 kills, 17 digs and five aces...set a Westlake High School season kill record with 698 as a junior and led Westlake to the Texas High School State Tournament Class 5A Finals...earned TXSWA 5A All-State first team and TGCA All-State Class 5A honors while being named 5A All-Tournament Team...was named best offensive hitter in her district and earned All-Centex first team honors...was a finalist for National High School Junior Player of the Year by Prep Volleyball and a Top 50 Junior Recruit by the publication...in her sophomore season, Westlake again reached the Class 5A State Tournament finals as she earned all-state and All-Centex first team honors and was named to Prep Volleyball's Soph 79 list...selected district Newcomer of the Year as a freshman and named to Prep Volleyball's Frosh 59 list...earned academic all-district honors three years...played club volleyball for the Austin Juniors and played on the 17s Mizuno squad that won the 2008 USA Junior Olympic Girls' Volleyball Championship title.
