55 digs in two five-set wins over No. 3 Hawai'i and No. 18 Pepperdine...she posted career highs with 33 kills and 26 digs against Hawai'i, including eight kills and one ace in the fifth set, in front of a sell-out crowd of 10,300 fans...against Pepperdine in the regional final, she set another career high with 29 digs to go with 17 kills and tied her career best with five service aces...in the first two rounds, she had 17 digs against Yale (one off her season high) in the first round on December 2 and had 10 kills while hitting .333 with nine digs and two blocks against Tulsa on December 3 in the second round...in the final regular-season match at No. 4 UCLA, she had 18 kills with five digs, one ace and five blocks (four solo) in the four-set win...hit .607 on 18 kills (18-1-28) on November 19 at home against Arizona with two aces, five digs and three blocks in a 3-0 sweep of the Wildcats...during the match, she broke Jennifer Kessy's school career record for kills...against Arizona State in a four-set win on November 11, she had 17 kills while hitting .325 with nine digs and tied a season high with four blocks...named Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week on November 14, the third time she received the conference honor...in 3-0 sweeps on November 11-12 at Oregon State and No. 20 Oregon, she combined for 30 kills and 41.5 points...in addition to averaging 5.00 kills per set and 6.92 points per set, she hit .324 with eight service aces (1.33 saps), 23 digs (3.83 dps) and four blocks (0.67 bps)...tallied 16 kills with three aces at Oregon State....against Oregon, she hit .367 on 14 kills with a career-high five service aces along with 15 digs and three solo blocks....posted a double-double in a three-set sweep of No. 10 Washington on Oct. 22, tallying 13 kills and 17 digs...on Oct. 28 at No. 5 Stanford in a three-set loss, Jupiter had 16 kills and 11 digs...the following evening at No. 2 Cal, she posted 15 kills while hitting .406 (15-2-32) with a season-high 18 digs...hit .333 with nine kills in a sweep on Oct. 22 against Colorado with 12 digs, two aces and two solo blocks...for the fourth time in her career, she recorded four service aces in a match on Oct. 21 against Utah...on Oct. 14 in a four-set win over No. 16 Oregon, she tied a season high with 22 kills and set a season high with 14 kills while hitting .314 (22-6-51) with two aces and three blocks...had a match-high 16 kills on Oct. 7 at Arizona while hitting .382 in the 3-0 sweep before a 15-kill, 13-dig performance the next night in a four-set win at Arizona State....had 14 kills while hitting .344 with nine digs and two solo blocks in a 3-0 sweep on Sept. 30 at Colorado and then recorded 15 kills with nine digs and two blocks while hitting .407 on October 2 at Utah...on Sept. 23 against No. 1 California, she had 16 kills, eight digs, four blocks (two solo) while hitting .343 in the sweep over the Golden Bears...followed with a double-double against No. 2 Stanford in a three-set sweep with 15 kills and 11 digs while adding three aces...had nine kills and 10 digs on September 16 in a 3-0 sweep at No. 4 Washington...earned 2011 FGCU Homewood Suites Invitational all-tournament team honors after recording 37 kills in three matches, including a 19-kill effort in a 3-0 sweep of Furman while hitting .410 (19-3-39) with seven digs...the following day in Orlando against Clemson, she had 18 kills while hitting .325 (18-5-40) with seven digs and a solo block...named to the 2011 Rockvale Outlets/AVCA Showcase all-tournament team after recording 44 kills and 22 digs in two matches against No. 12 Minnesota and No. 1 Penn State in University Park, Pennsylvania...had 22 kills and nine digs in the five-set win against Minnesota while hitting .327 and adding three solo blocks, following up in a five-set loss to Penn State with 22 kills, 13 digs and two service aces.
Jupiter became a two-time All-American as a junior after earning 2010 AVCA All-America first team and AVCA All-Pacific Region honors along with being named as a 2010-11 Honda Sports Award finalist...finished the season with 532 kills (4.40 kps) while hitting .299 with 38 service aces (0.31 saps), 304 digs (2.51 dps), 77 blocks (33 solo, 0.64 bps) and 625.0 points (5.17 pps)...for Pac-10 Conference matches, Jupiter recorded 326 kills (4.47 kps) while hitting .298 with 19 aces (0.26 saps), 182 digs (2.49 dps), 50 blocks (19 solo, 0.68 bps) and 379.5 points (5.20 pps)....her 534 kills place her fourth on USC's single-season list while her 625.0 points place her third on USC's single-season list...her 5.17 points-per-set average this season places her fifth on USC's single-season list...had a team-high 16 double-doubles and 12 in 18 Pac-10 Conference matches...named to the 2010 All-Pac-10 Conference Team, the second straight year she received the honor...finished 11th in the nation for points per set and 15th for kills per set...registered a double-double against No. 3 seed Stanford in the Dayton Regional final with 23 kills and 15 digs while hitting .290 against the Cardinal and earned NCAA Dayton Regional all-tournament team honors...had 16 kills and hit .464 with four blocks in the NCAA first round match against New Mexico and then led with a match-high 23 kills with six digs and a .362 hitting clip in the four-set win in the second round against No. 18 San Diego...finished the regular season with 17 kills and 15 digs at No. 9 UCLA on Nov. 26 in a five-set win...had 20 kills and 12 digs on a .347 night (20-3-49) with an ace and two blocks in a five-set win on Nov. 20 at No. 23 Oregon...had 34 kills in two win at home against No. 20 Arizona and Arizona State (Nov. 12-13)...against the Wildcats, she had 16 kills while hitting .308 with five blocks (two solo) and followed up with 18 kills while hitting .424 with 12 digs and four blocks (two solo)...on Nov. 5 at No. 2 California, Jupiter posted 17 kills, 11 digs and five blocks (two solo) in a four-set win over the Golden Bears...named Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week and Pac-10 Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season on Nov. 1 after she recorded 42 kills in wins at home against Washington State and then-No. 7 Washington...became the first player in the history of the USC women's volleyball program to earn national player of the week honors twice in a season...had 12 kills and seven digs while hitting .318 in the 3-0 sweep of Washington State on Oct. 29 and followed with a spectacular match on the FOX Sports Net Game of the Week against Washington...had 30 kills (one away from her personal best) in the five-set win over the Huskies with 14 digs and a .414 hitting percentage (30-6-58)...after getting only three kills in the first set, she came back with eight kills in the second set and nine kills in the third with no errors for a .607 hitting clip in those two sets...posted 20 kills and 10 digs with three solo blocks on Oct. 22 in a five-set win over No. 16 Oregon while hitting .429 (20-2-42)...during the fifth set against the Ducks, she had two kills and two solo blocks...on Oct. 16 at No. 25 Arizona, she had 17 kills, 12 digs, three aces and a key solo block in the fifth set as USC defeated the Wildcats...had a season-high 26 kills and 18 digs in a five-set win on Oct. 9 against No. 7 California and 19 kills with 10 digs on Oct. 8 in a four-set loss to top-ranked Stanford...recorded a team-high 23 kills with 14 digs, two aces and three blocks in a five-set loss on Oct. 1 at No. 10 Washington and followed with 19 kills and a .516 clip (19-3-31) in a 3-0 sweep at Washington State the next evening...on Sept. 24 against No. 11 UCLA, she registered her 1,000th career kill and became just the 17th player in USC history to accomplish the feat...posted a team-high 21 kills to go with 12 digs in the four-set win against the Bruins...had 14 kills and nine digs in a 3-0 sweep on Sept. 17 at Fresno State...on Sept. 10 against Virginia, she had 10 kills and hit .500 (10-2-16) with an ace, five digs and a solo block in the 3-0 sweep...became the sixth player in USC history to earn AVCA National Player of the Week honors on Sept. 6 after earning most outstanding player honors at the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic in Honolulu (Sept. 3-5)...named Pac-10 Conference Player of the Week, the first time she earned that honor...posted 49 kills (4.45 kps) in three matches against three teams that were receiving votes in the coaches' poll with four aces, 26 digs (2.36 dps), 10 blocks (0.91 bps) and 61.0 points (5.55 pps)...did not have one reception error in 58 attempts on the weekend...against New Mexico, she had 10 kills, seven digs and three solo blocks in a 3-0 sweep...in another 3-0 sweep, this time against Michigan State, she had 17 kills and six blocks while hitting .483 (17-3-29)...in the tournament finale against No. 4 Hawai'i, she had 22 kills and 16 digs in a five-set win over the Rainbow Wahine...posted her first double-double of the season on Aug. 28 in a four-set win over Cal State Fullerton with 23 kills and 10 digs against the Titans...earned Luxe City Center Trojan Invitational all-tournament team honors after posting 29 kills (4.14 kps) with eight aces (1.14 saps), 17 digs (2.43 dps) and 39.0 points (5.57 pps).
Jupiter became the 31st All-American in USC women's volleyball history after earning AVCA All-America third team honors...earned her first All-Pac-10 Conference honor as well as being named AVCA All-Pacific Region...led the Women of Troy with 522 kills (4.54 kps) with 33 aces (0.29 saps), 308 digs (2.68 dps), 73 blocks (0.63 bps) and 608.0 points (5.29 pps)...her 522 kills were the fourth-most in school history, along with her 5.29 points per set average...her 1,281 attacks on the season were No. 2 on the single-season list and her 608.0 points places her third on the all-time list...recorded 15 double-doubles on the season...finished seventh in the nation for points per set and 12th for kills per set...third among all Pac-10 Conference players in points and kills...posted 23 kills in a 3-0 sweep over Oklahoma on Dec. 4 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament...posted 22 kills and a season-high .514 clip (22-3-37) with 10 digs, four blocks and 24.5 points in a 3-0 sweep on Nov. 20 at No. 18 Oregon...the following night at Oregon State, she had 11 kills, 10 digs and four blocks (tied a season high with three solo blocks)...recorded 21 kills and eight digs on Nov. 13 against No. 4 Washington, followed by 14 kills and 10 digs in a 3-1 win against No. 25 Washington State...had a team-high 22 kills with 14 digs in a five-set loss on Nov. 6 against No. 7 UCLA...tallied 17 kills and 11 digs in a four-set loss on Oct. 30 at No. 4 Stanford...recorded 19 kills in back-to-back home sweeps on Oct. 23 and 24 against Oregon State and No. 12 Oregon...had 24.0 points against the Beavers, which included seven digs and five blocks (three solo), and 24.5 points against the Ducks with three service aces, seven digs and three blocks (two solo)...at No. 4 Washington on Oct. 17, she had 25 kills and 13 digs in a five-set loss and recorded 21 kills and nine digs in a three-set loss the night before at Washington State...posted four consecutive double-doubles from Sept. 26 through Oct. 9...had 15 kills and 15 digs in a 3-0 loss on Oct. 3 to No. 11 Stanford and had 19 kills, 14 digs, two aces and three blocks the previous night against No. 9 California...on Sept. 26 at Arizona State, Jupiter posted career-highs with 31 kills and 20 digs in a four-set win while hitting .433 (31-5-60)...had 20.5 points in a 3-0 sweep against Fresno State on Sept. 19 with 17 kills, eight digs and three service aces while hitting .452 (17-3-31)...recorded a career-high seven blocks (two solo, five assisted) with eight kills and nine digs against Portland on Sept. 18...posted 17 kills, seven digs and four blocks on Sept. 11 at Utah Valley and recorded nine kills and three aces the following day in a 3-0 sweep of the Wolverines...earned Holiday Inn LA City Center Trojan Invitational all-tournament team honors after recording 41 kills, 21 digs and seven blocks (five solo) in three 3-0 sweeps...posted a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs against No. 21 Pepperdine on Sept. 4...tied a personal best with 20 kills on Aug. 28 in a five-set loss at Michigan State, adding 14 digs with one service aces and three blocks...in back-to-back 3-0 sweeps against North Carolina and Albany on Aug. 29, she posted 11 kills in each match to earn MSU Showcase all-tournament honors.
She had a strong freshman season, registering 350 kills (3.24 kps) with 12 service aces (0.11 saps), 122 digs (1.13 dps), 59 blocks (0.55 bps) and 403.0 points (3.73 pps)...named to the Pac-10 Conference All-Freshman Team...recorded double digit kills in 20 matches...became the third freshman at USC since 1981 to lead the team in kills (Tracy Clark in 1982 and April Ross in 2000)...had her coming-out party at the Runza/AVCA Showcase against No. 4 Texas and No. 7 Nebraska...led the Trojans in kills for both matches with 17 against the Longhorns and 12 against the Huskers...also had 13 digs and four service aces on the weekend...named most valuable player at the Holiday Inn LA City Center Trojan Invitational (Sept. 4-6) after totaling 48 kills in 10 sets (4.80 kps) while hitting .367 for the tournament (48-12-98)...had one assist, three service aces, 10 digs, seven blocks (five solo, two assisted) and 57 points (5.70 pps)...during the West Point Challenge (Sept. 18-19), she was named to the all-tournament team after recording 34 kills in three victories...led the Trojans with 17 kills, hitting .438 (17-3-32) with six digs and three blocks in a 3-0 sweep of host Army on an ESPNU national telecast...her first collegiate double-double came on Sept. 26 against No. 4 UCLA with 15 kills and a season-high 15 digs in the 3-2 victory...had 10 kills and hit .320 with seven digs in a 3-0 sweep of Washington State on Oct. 10 and posted 19 kills and 10 digs in a five-set loss to No. 10 Washington the following night...had 15 kills and four blocks against No. 7 Oregon on Oct. 31 and followed that with a season-high 20 kills and three blocks (two solo) in a five-set win against Oregon State...hit .364 (10-2-22) with 10 kills and two blocks on Nov. 14 against Arizona...tallied a team-high 12 kills and hit .300 (12-3-30) in the second round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament against No. 6 Hawai'i.
She attended Redondo Union High in Redondo Beach, Calif., but did not play high school volleyball...played four seasons of club volleyball for Sunshine...named most valuable player at the 2008 Las Vegas Classic.
Alexandra Johanna Jupiter was born on March 11, 1990, in Charenton-le-pont, France...parents Michel and Nadia Jupiter...moved to the United States as a freshman in high school and immediately began playing on the beach...later qualified as a 16 year old on the Manhattan Beach AVP Tour event with Leilani Kamahoahoa...lists Ronaldinho as her biggest sports hero...favorite television shows are South Park, Scrubs and Mad TV...favorite movies are Amelie, Into The Wild, The Usual Suspects and Dead Poets Society...listens to Nirvana, Metallica and Daft Punk...majoring in psychology.
