    The Women of Troy defeated the Gaels, 3-0, in the second round of the 2012 NCAA Championships.

    Hayley Crone enters her senior season as a setter for the Women of Troy and will serve as the team's captain.

    As a junior, Crone was chosen to represent USC as part of the first-ever Pac-12 All-Star Team that went to China for six matches against Chinese clubs... started all 35 matches and played all 123 sets... completed the year with 812 assists (6.60 aps) to rank 10th in the Pac-12... had 12 service aces and 199 digs... posted two double-double outings with 38 assists, 14 digs, at Stanford (Oct. 30) and 33 assists, 18 digs, at Washington State (Nov. 17)... tied her career high with 18 digs in a match against WSU (Nov. 17)... received the Most Improved GPA Award at Purdue's Mortar Board Premier.

    Crone started all 36 of USC's matches as a sophomore setter... she completed the year with 1,337 assists (11.05 aps), 39 kills, 31 service aces (0.26 saps for second on the team), and 265 digs (2.19 dps for fourth on the team)... her 11.05 assists per set ranked third in the Pac-12... her 1,337 assists rank eighth on USC's all-time single-season assists ladder... her 9.68 career assists per set rank eighth on the program's all-time list... tied for team-high honors and eighth in the league with 11 double-double matches (assists and digs)... recorded a career-high 58 assists in a four-set win over top-ranked Stanford on Nov. 15... registered career-best 18 digs in a four-set victory against Boston College on Sept. 1... had four service aces in a match against Mississippi State on Sept. 1... posted career-best four blocks against Arizona State on Oct. 7.

    Crone played in 15 matches as a freshman and recorded 37 assists (1.76 aps), one service ace (0.05 saps), and 10 digs (0.48 dps)... had seven assists against Colorado on Oct. 21... registered a season-high 10 assists on Oct. 15 against Oregon State... recorded two digs in a match, three times ... made her collegiate debut on Sept. 2 against UCF.

    Crone was a four-year letterwinner and two-year team captain at Great Oak High in Temecula, Calif... named by The Californian as the 2010 All-Valley Girls Volleyball Player of the Year after posting 719 assists, 133 digs, 118 kills and 62 service aces... rated as the No. 49 Senior Ace by Prep Volleyball... named Southwestern League and team most valuable player as a senior... named to the all-tournament team for the University High Tournament and San Diego SoCal Invitational... played club volleyball for the Coast Volleyball Club... in the summer of 2011, she played for the U.S. A2 National Team in Europe.
