    As a junior, Young received Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention... earned a pair of awards at the Purdue Mortar Board Premier for Highest Team GPA and the Community Service Award... played in 25 matches for a total of 67 sets... recorded 93 kills (37e, 260att) for a .215 hitting percentage with 13 assists, 28 digs (0.42 dps), 32 blocks (0.48 bps), and 109.0 points (1.63 pps)... matched her career high twice with eight kills against Utah (Sept. 29) and against Marquette (Sept. 6)... posted a career-high 20 attacks against Northern Illinois (Sept. 7) and a career-high four blocks against Stanford (Oct. 4) and at San Diego (Sept. 13)... career-best 9.0 points against San Diego (Sept. 13).

    Young played in 35 matches and appeared in 102 sets as a sophomore opposite hitter and setter... she received Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention... recorded 37 kills (0.36 kps) while hitting .274, with 60 assists (0.59 aps) and 21 blocks (0.21 bps)... posted a career-high eight kills and five digs to go with 8.5 points in a win over Prairie View A&M on Sept. 15.

    Young appeared in 16 matches as a freshman... registered 16 kills (0.67 kps) while hitting .308, with one assist, four digs (0.17 dps), and four blocks (0.17 bps)... posted a season-high five kills on Oct. 15 against Oregon State while hitting .556 (5k, 0e, 9att).

    Young was a 2011 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection and earned Prep Volleyball All-America special mention as a senior... played at Schaumburg (Ill.) High... earned Academic All-America second team honors... named Cook County honorary captain of the 2010 Daily Herald all-area girls volleyball team... rated as the No. 30 Senior Ace by Prep Volleyball... was a two-year team captain for Schaumburg... president of the National Honor Society... posted an academic class rank of 14 out of 603 students and recorded a 4.6 grade-point-average on a 4.0 weighted scale... played club volleyball for the Sports Performance 18 Elite squad that finished first at the 2011 JVA Premier Invite.
