    Diane Copenhagen was a solid four-year player for the Women of Troy as she played in 109 career matches...she finished 10th on USC's all-time list with 88 solo blocks...finished sixth all-time for total points (1,292.5) and seventh for points per game (3.37).

    2007
    Copenhagen was one of USC's two co-captains as a 2007 season...an abdominal injury kept her out of action for seven matches before returning primarily as a back-row player on Oct. 26 against Cal...led the team with 15 double-doubles, including her last seven matches in a row...had double figure kills in seven straight matches (Aug. 31-Sept. 21)...posted her first double-double of the season with 12 kills and 11 digs against St. John's on Aug. 25...hit .393 (12-1-28) with 12 kills and 13 digs against Loyola Marymount the same day to complete the Trojan Invitational...in a five-game win against No. 14 Duke, she had a season-high 21 kills while hitting .391 (21-3-46) and adding 11 digs on Aug. 31...had 18 kills and 15 digs in a five-game win on Sept. 14 at No. 20 Ohio State...against Purdue on Sept. 15 in Columbus, Ohio, she had 11 kills and 14 digs while hitting .455 (11-1-22)...assumed her "new" role in the back row on Oct. 26 against Cal, chipping in four digs...recorded 14 digs in a four-game win against No. 9 UCLA on Nov. 2 at the Galen Center...had back-to-back double-doubles on the road at Arizona and Arizona State on Nov. 23 and 24...her 17 kills at Arizona State were the most since Sept. 21 vs. Arizona...registered back-to-back double-doubles in the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament...had 11 kills and 17 digs in a three-game sweep of Pepperdine followed by 11 kills and a season-high 18 digs in a five-game victory over No. 25 Long Beach State...named to the Gainesville (Fla.) All-Regional Team last weekend...had 18 kills and 14 digs against No. 13 St. John's in the regional semifinal and 13 kills with 12 digs and four blocks (two solo) while hitting .448 (13-0-29) against No. 3 Texas in the regional final...for her final career match in a five-game loss to No. 1 seed Stanford during the NCAA national semifinal, she recorded a career-high 33 digs while posting 19 kills for a .269 hitting clip (19-5-52) and 22.5 points.

    As a solid No. 2 hitting option for the Women of Troy, Copenhagen posted a consistent junior season and earned All-Pac-10 honorable mention recognition in the process...recorded 455 kills on the year with a .233 hitting percentage...led the team with 42 solo blocks...recorded double figures in kills in 29 of 32 matches and had nine double-doubles (kills and digs)...opened the season with 34 kills and 23 digs in three matches to earn all-tournament team honors at the CenturyTel Premier Tournament in San Marcos, Texas...had 23 kills, one off her career best, on Sept. 2 in a 3-1 win against No. 24 Utah at the Lyon Center...added another all-tournament team selection at the Gamecock Invitational (Sept. 8-9) in Columbia, S.C...also had 34 kills in two matches (Sept. 28-29) against Washington State and No. 4 Washington with a 16 kill, 15 dig performance against the Huskies...had 18 kills and 17 digs on Oct. 6 in a five-game win at Arizona State, followed by a team-high 17 digs in a 3-0 sweep the next night at Arizona...on Oct. 26 at No. 5 Washington, she led the Women of Troy with 20 kills and had 14 kills and 12 digs the following night in a 3-0 sweep at Washington State...her eighth double-double of the season came on Nov. 10 in a 3-0 sweep at No. 2 Stanford as she had 14 kills with 14 digs, hitting .306 in the match...had 30 kills in six games during the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament at Galen Center, leading the Women of Troy with a team-high 16 kills on Dec. 1 against BYU...hit .393 against Ole Miss and .325 against BYU.

    2005
    As a 2005 sophomore, Copenhagen started in 26 matches while missing only two due to a slight ankle injury...finished third on the team with 314 kills for a 3.27 kills per game average and third with 370 points for a 3.85 average...recorded 319 digs for a 3.32 digs per game average...had double figures in kills 16 times during the season...opened the season with 14 kills, nine digs and a .360 night on Aug. 27 against Cal Poly...had 17 kills and 17 digs on Aug. 31 against Penn State in Honolulu, Hawaii for the first of her 10 double-doubles on the season...registered a career-high 24 kills and 61 attempts on Sept. 10 against Florida at the UTSA Dome Rally in San Antonio...set a personal-best with 24 digs to go with 15 kills in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Dec. 2 against UC Santa Barbara...during the summer, she played with the U.S. Women's Junior National Team and competed at the FIVB U-20 Junior World Championships in Turkey.


    2004
    She played in 25 matches in her 2005 freshman season...named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman honorable mention team...averaged 1.12 kills, 0.60 digs, 0.55 blocks and 1.40 points per game...collected a season-high nine kills against Washington State on Nov. 27 and a season-best five digs at Washington on Nov. 26...posted four blocks on three occasions...trained during the summer with the U.S. Women's Junior National Team and competed at the NORCECA Continental Championship in Winnipeg, Canada.

    Copenhagen is a 2004 graduate of St. Francis High in Mountain View, Calif...a four-year volleyball letterwinner and one-year basketball letterwinner...a prep teammate of USC outside hitter Jessica Gysin...helped lead prep squad to four-straight CIF state championships (St. Francis competed as Div. III in 2003, Div. I in 2002 and Div. II in 2000 and 2001) and the 2002 mythical national championship with a 33-1 record...named to the state championship all-tournament teams as a freshman, sophomore and senior, and honored as MVP as a junior...a 2004 Volleyball magazine Fab 50 selection, and 2003 San Jose Mercury News, Bay Area Cal-Hi Sports and High School Sports Focus Player of the Year...also honored as the 2002 CIF Division I MVP and 2003 West Catholic Athletic League MVP...a two-time (2001, 2003) All-CIF first-team selection and three-time All-WCAL conference first team pick (2001, 2002, 2003)...named MVP of the 2003 Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions...also earned 2001 CIF State Sportsmanship/Citizenship Award...a three-year member of the USA Volleyball Girls Youth National Team...2002 USA squad captured the NORCECA gold medal and 2003 team finished fourth at the World Championships in Poland...played club volleyball for Vision (four years), Yahoo 16's (one year) and City Beach (three years)...Yahoo 16's captured Junior Nationals in 2000 and City Beach did so in 2001...named to the Junior National all-tournament teams in 2001 and 2003.

    Diane Elizabeth Copenhagen was born on June 28, 1986, in Mountain View, Calif...daughter of Tom and Anne Copenhagen, she has two sisters, Jill and Lauren...lists Lance Armstrong as her biggest sports hero because of his fight to win and overcome personal struggle...would love to play volleyball in Italy or travel the world after graduation...majoring in communications with a minor in political science.
