No. 16 USC Volleyball Sweeps No. 15 Washington

    LOS ANGELES -- The USC volleyball team made it two sweeps in two nights over Top 20 teams as it beat No. 15 Washington 15-6, 15-8, 15-13 Saturday night (Oct.12) at North Gym.

    USC raised its record to 11-4, 5-2 in the Pac-10. Washington falls to 15-3, 5-2.

    One night after upsetting No. 10 Washington State, the Women of Troy used an excellent defensive match to dispose of the Huskies. Washington was held to a .000 hit- ting percentage in Game 1 and a .131 mark for the match. USC, meanwhile, hit .322 for the match.

    Jennifer Kessy led a balanced USC scoring attack with 15 kills, while Vesna Dragicevic (13) and Jasmina Marinkovic (10) also had double figures in that category.

    The Women of Troy will travel to the Bay Area next weekend for matches at Stanford (Oct.18) and at Cal (Oct.19).
