Trojan Volleyball Team Drops Opener

    In its first action of the year, the USC women's volleyball team was defeated 10-15, 15-9, 9-15, 11-15 by Wisconsin in Boulder, Colo. Friday night.

    The Trojans, ranked 13th in the preseason USA Today/AVCA poll, were outhit .227-.156 by the unranked Badgers in dropping their first match of the year. Wisconsin moved to 1-0 with the win.

    Jasmina Marinkovic and Jennifer Kessy led the Trojans with 17 kills apiece, while Wisconsin's Amy Lee tallied a match-high 18. Marinkovic posted a team-high hitting percentage of .353.
