Kaitlyn Christian and Sabrina Santamaria of the women's tennis team, Steve Lim of the men's golf team and Matt Barkley of the football team were named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Nov. 7) for the week of Oct 31.- Nov. 6.

Women's Tennis: USC's doubles duo of sophomore Kaitlyn Christian and freshman Sabrina Santamaria took down No. 3 seeded Frilling/Mathews of Notre Dame, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 to win the ITA National Indoor Doubles Championships. The two Women of Troy were the first to reach a doubles final, and now stand as the first USC doubles team -- female or male -- to win the doubles crown at the tourney. The Trojans' run to the title included upsets of the No. 2, No. 4 and finally the No. 3 seeded teams in the draw.

Men's Golf: Senior Steve Lim fired a final-round 69 to not only lead the USC men's golf team to its first title this season but also claim his first collegiate title on the final day of the 2011 Gifford Collegiate. USC held off UCLA for the win at 8-under 1057 (345-352-360), four shots better than the second-place Bruins' 1061 (348-361-352). Lim, USC's active leader in rounds in the 60s, put together one of USC's top tournaments in recent memory to win at 11-under 202 (66-67-69).

Football: Junior quarterback Matt Barkley threw for a school-record six touchdowns and saved another with a tackle following his sole interception as No. 21 Southern California defeated Colrado 42-17 on Friday night. Barkley, who completed 25 of 39 passes for 318 yards was named Pac-12 Player of the Week as a result of his monumental performance. On the year, Barkley has completed 229-of-342 passes (67.0%) for 2,608 yards and 28 touchdowns. He ranks fourth on USC's career passing and total offense lists with 675 completions and 8,104 yards. Barkley is the only Trojan to have thrown at least five touchdowns four times in his career.
