Zoë Katz Wins Back-to-Back ITA Summer Circuit Singles Titles

Zoë Katz dominated the singles scene at the past two ITA Summer Circuit events in Southern California.
    July 28, 2015

In two appearances at the ITA Summer Circuit, soon-to-be junior Zoë Katz showed her singles strength in nabbing back-to-back titles at Azusa Pacific and then at Cal State LA.

Katz stormed her way to the championship at Azusa Pacific, winning six matches while dropping only a single set. In the title match, she played Utah’s Margo Pletcher and rang up the victory with a smooth 6-2, 6-2 decision. The title was Katz’ second singles championship at the Azusa Pacific event, having won it all in 2014 as well.
The very next weekend, Katz was unstoppable once again. She wouldn’t surrender a set as she carved another path to the final, beating ASU’s Stephanie Vlad in the semifinals. In the title match, Katz dished out a 6-2, 6-0 win over Georgetown’s Victoire Saperstein to complete another successful singles stretch in the ITA Summer Circuit.
