After leading their Trojan tennis teams to historic seasons in 2012, two USC seniors have wrapped up their careers with honors on Pac-12 All-Academic teams. Senior Daniel Nguyen has earned a spot on the men's All-Academic First Team, and Alison Ramos has a place on the women's All-Academic Second Team for 2012.

A communications major with a 3.4 GPA, Daniel Nguyen is also a CoSIDA Capital One Academic Third Team All-American to go along with All-District academic honors and a place on the 2012 Pac-12 All-Academic First Team. This year's honor is an upgrade for Nguyen after two years on the Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team. On the tennis side, Nguyen wrapped up his USC career as a four-time NCAA Team Champion, with huge clinching victories in two title matches, and most recently in the Trojans' NCAA Semifinal win over rival UCLA. Nguyen was presented with the ITA Rafael Osuna Sportsmanship Award during USC's run to the 2012 NCAA Championship in Georgia last month.

A human performance major with a 3.5 GPA, Alison Ramos helped the Women of Troy post its winningest season since 1985 with this year's run to the NCAA Semifinals. Ramos also has picked up her share of academic accolades to go with this year's pick to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team. The 2012 honor is Ramos' third straight spot on the Second Team as she closes down her Trojan career as a finalist for the John McLendon Postgraduate Scholarship.
