USC junior Zoë Scandalis had match-clinching victories in back-to-back matches for the Trojans last week, helping No. 13 USC to a 7-2 mark in Pac-12 play with wins over No. 19 Arizona State and No. 25 Arizona. As a result of her powerful play, Scandalis has earned her second selection of the season as the Pac-12 Player of the Week.

Playing at the No. 1 singles spot, Scandalis secured straight-set wins -- both 7-5, 6-4 -- over ASU's #68 Stephanie Vlad and then over Arizona's #60 Lacey Smyth. Both wins locked the Trojans in with their fourth point of each match, improving the Trojans to 16-6 overall. Scandalis also paired with Kaitlyn Christian in No. 1 doubles for the weekend, having their first match together suspended when USC clinched the doubles point against ASU. The next day, Christian and Scandalis grabbed the first win of the day with an 8-2 victory over Arizona's Marker/Stubbe. The winning week for Scandalis improved the #26 junior to 17-7 overall in singles play and 13-3 in dual matches.

This is the fourth career selection for Scandalis as Pac-12 Player of the Week. She and the Women of Troy are now lined up to wrap up the regular season with a trip to Westwood to square off against crosstown rival UCLA this week. The Trojans will tangle with the Bruins at 12:30 p.m. on Friday (April 18).
