    ITA Releases First Updated Rankings

    Feb. 13, 2002

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The ITA released its first set of updated rankings for the 2002 season since the start of dual match play. USC men's tennis jumped eight spots to No. 4, while the women's tennis team fell to No. 15.

The USC men earned their highest ranking since the 1998 season after upsetting then-No. 3 UCLA, 5-2, and narrowly dropping a 4-2 decision to then-No. 2 Stanford last week at the ITA Team Indoor Championships.

The women's team had a difficult time at last week's championships, falling to Notre Dame and Northwestern before defeating Oklahoma State, 6-1.

The Women of Troy host Loyola Marymount on Friday, Feb. 15, at 1:30 p.m. at Marks Tennis Stadium, while the men's team hosts BYU on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 1:30 p.m.
