LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - Rains cancelled out another day of action for the USC women's tennis team on Thursday, leaving the Trojans with a 3-0 lead over Long Beach State. The continuation of the match is still to be decided.

The Women of Troy and the 49ers got in almost a full set across the board when the match first began on Wednesday. But that day's deluge stopped things, leaving the teams hoping for a clearing in the weather on Thursday. They got enough to finish off three singles matches - all USC victories - but no more than that would be decided. Grabbing wins in Thursday's continuation for a 3-0 USC lead in the match were freshman Leyla Entekhabi, sophomore Gabriela Niculescu and junior Amanda Fink. Playing at the No. 2 position, Fink downed Deborah Armstrong 6-2, 6-0, while Niculescu pinned up an identical decision over Stephanie Jeanes at the No. 4 slot. At No. 6, Entekhabi notched a 6-2, 6-1 win over LBSU's Emannuelle Tabatruong.

Weather permitting, USC is still lined up to take on UC Irvine in a dual match on Friday (Jan. 26) at Marks Stadium at 1:30 p.m.
