Women's Tennis: Two different Women of Troy reigned supreme in singles action last weekend bringing titles back to USC. Freshman Zoe Scandalis delivered an upset blow to the top-ranked player in the nation as she gutted out a 6-7 (8), 7-6 (5), 6-3 comeback win over Stanford's #1 Mallory Burdette to win it all at the Freeman Memorial in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, in La Quinta, Calif., USC junior Danielle Lao defeated top-seeded and #29 ranked Emily Fraser with a decisive second set in a 7-6 (5), 6-0 win to claim the singles crown at the National Collegiate Tennis Classic.

Men's Tennis: It was a weekend of domination for the Trojans as USC swept the singles and doubles title matches last weekend at the Sherwood Collegiate Cup. Steve Johnson won the singles championship beating teammate #16 Daniel Nguyen 6-2, 6-2. In route to the title, Johnson also beat fellow Trojan and #48 ranked Emilio Gomez. Nguyen then teamed up with Ray Sarmiento on the doubles courts to beat Johnson and Yannick Hanfmann 9-7 to claim the doubles championship.
