OJAI, CALIF. - USC senior Maria Sanchez has launched herself in position for a potential Pac-10 sweep after a winning day in singles and doubles semis at the Pac-10 Championships in Ojai, Calif. Sanchez sped past her second Stanford opponent of the tournament in this morning's singles play before teaming up with freshman Kaitlyn Christian to take down an ASU pair on the doubles side. Sanchez' singles title match puts her up against Stanford's Kristie Ahn tomorrow at 11 a.m. The doubles final has Christian/Sanchez facing top-rankedAndersson/Juricova of Cal at 2 p.m.

It wasn't too long ago that USC last had Trojans in both Pac-10 title matches. In 2009, Amanda Fink won the Pac-10 singles crown and also claimed the Pac-10 doubles title with teammate Gabriela Niculescu.

In today's singles semifinal, top-seeded Maria Sanchez squared off against Stanford's unseeded Stacey Tan. The Trojan senior made short work of her Cardinal opponent, pounding out a 6-2, 6-1 win to get a little extra rest before doubles play kicked off later in the day. Her afternoon doubles action alongside freshman teammate Kaitlyn Christian put the No. 2 seeded Trojan pair up against No. 4 seeded Sun Devils Hein/McKenna...
