USC Women Wrap Up Pac-10 Action|

OJAI, CALIF. - The No. 18 USC women's tennis team wrapped up competition in Ojai., Calif., after quarterfinal appearances for several Women of Troy at the Pac-10 Women Tennis Championships.
In the doubles main draw, USC's Fansler/Kinstler had to withdraw due to injury, leaving USC's Lao/Ramos in action on the other side of the bracket. Lao/Ramos tacked up a solid morning win, handing Stanford's Li/McVeigh an 8-6 loss in the Round of 16 to push the two Women of Troy into the afternoon's quarterfinals. There, Lao/Ramos went up against the No. 2 seeded UCLA pair Remynse/Schnack and lost 8-2 to close down USC's run in the main draw.
Meanwhile, in Invitational doubles play, Cristala Andrews and Valeria Pulido punched through to the quarterfinals by starting their day with a powerful 8-1 win over Arizona's Cassidy/Hammond. Next for Andrews/Pulido was a shot at Washington's Malovic/Smith, but the Trojans came up short of a semifinal slot in falling 8-5 to the Husky duo.
Singles competition wrapped up for the Trojans in Invitational action when Cristala Andrews went up against UCLA's Nina Pantic in the quarterfinals. Andrews had shut out her Round of 16 opponent yesterday, but took a 6-2, 6-3 loss to Pantic in today's Invitational quarterfinals.
