In doubles play, Anca Anastasiu and Dianne Matias teamed up for just the third time this year, and the senior duo tacked up their third straight win together with an 8-1 decision over Davison/Lancaster at the No. 3 position. That win was followed almost second later by an identical 8-1 win at No. 1 by Lindsey Nelson / Julie Smekodub over UT's Dizdar/Olson to clinch the doubles point. USC's #37 duo Judy DeVera / Amanda Fink were pushed to the brink, but managed to keep their winning streak intact, nabbing their 11th straight victory with an 8-7 (6) win at No. 2 over Corovic/Milic.
The winning trend continued into singles play, as Judy DeVera put away Marija Milic 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 6 position for a 2-0 USC advantage. Anca Anastasiu settled into control of her second set as well, beating Stephanie Davison 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3 for a 3-0 lead. Sophomore Amanda Fink found a groove in her No. 2 match also, outlasting Petra Dizdar in the first-set tiebreaker and then rolling to a final of 7-6 (4), 6-1 to clinch the win for USC with a 4-0 lead in the match.
#13 Lindsey Nelson made it 5-0 with a 7-5, 7-6 (5) victory over #53 Vanja Corovic at the No. 1 position, marking the junior's fifth straight singles win.
