THIS SEASON:
Christine Setian enters her first season with the Women of Troy... Did not compete in the fall while recovering from a wrist injury.
PREP EXPERIENCE:
Setian is a 2001 graduate of Peninsula High in Palos Verdes, Calif. ... A four year member of the varsity tennis team who also played one season of varsity soccer... She and prep partner Jamie Pagliano played at No. 1 doubles, capturing the CIF doubles championship in 2001 and the Bay League doubles championship in 1999 and 2001... A first team All-Bay League selection as a freshman and junior... Helped lead team to the CIF Division I championship as a sophomore, junior and senior and the finals as a freshman... Peninsula won the Bay League championship in 1999 and 2001... Setian and Pagliano earned league first team honors as freshmen and juniors and were ranked No. 1 nationally as juniors and seniors.

Christine Setian was born on Dec. 21, 1982, in Torrance, Calif. ... The daughter of Hratch and Lydia Setian, she has one brother, Chris (16)... Her cousin, Saro Setian, also attended USC... Another cousin, Sevan Setian, played football at the University of San Diego... Lists Monica Seles as her biggest sports hero because of her courage... Her major is undeclared.
