THIS SEASON: Danielle Lao enters her second season at USC.
SPRING 2010: Lao entered the spring ranked No. 18 in the nation in singles... More info to come.
FALL 2009: During the fall, went 10-2 in singles including a 7-0 start that carried her through ITA All-American prequalifying and qualifying rounds to the main draw... Also reached the ITA Regionals quarterfinals... In fall doubles, went 1-1 with Lyndsay Kinstler at ITA Regionals.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lao won the league title while playing for La Salle High in Pasadena, Calif... Also was a semifinalist at the 2008 USTA International Spring Championships in Carson... Won USTA National Open in May 2008... Competed with the U.S. 18-under national team... Graduated magna cum laude.
PERSONAL: Danielle Marie Lao was born May 28, 1991 in Pasadena, Calif.... Daughter of Bessie and Danny... Has one sister, Adrienne... Lists Roger Federer as her biggest sports hero... Would like to travel to Spain and London... Hopes to one day play professional tennis... Has not decided on a major.
