Shannon Croughan enters her first season with the Women of Troy... Did not compete in the fall.
PREP EXPERIENCE:
Croughan is a 2001 graduate of Redlands East Valley High in Redlands, Calif. ... Played No. 1 varsity singles as a sophomore, junior and senior... The 2000 and 2001 CMHS Belt Champion... A three-time league MVP and first team selection... Won the 2000 Southern California Tennis Association Sportsmanship award... A two-time Sun Newspaper Athlete of the Week... Ranked as high as 14th in Southern California singles, 85th in the USTA national singles rankings and third in Southern California doubles... Led prep team to three league championships and the CIF Division I quarterfinals... Scholastically she finished in the top seven percent of her class... Selected to Who's Who Among America's High School Students.
PERSONAL:
Shannon Kimberly Croughan was born on April 14, 1983, in Redlands, Calif. ... She is the daughter of David and Ronnie Croughan and has one brother, Michael (21)... Chose to attend USC because of its excellent academic and athletic reputation... Following graduation she hopes to go to law school and would like to pursue a career as a sports attorney or sports agent... She is a political science major.
