    Stanford Dominates USC Women's Tennis, 6-1

    LOS ANGELES - Stanford women's tennis team outpowered USC's team, winning five of six singles matches, and the only doubles match played today. The final score was 6-1.

    The Trojans only win came from Veronika Safarova, who defeated Stanford's Sandra DeSilva, 7-6, 1-6, 7-6 in singles action.

    The number-two ranked Stanford (25-1, 9-0 conference), won five of six singles matches soundly in two sets.

    USC, ranked 33rd, moves to 8-14 overall, and 0-9 in the Pac-10 South.

    The Trojans resume play on Saturday, April 19, at noon, when they will take on California at Marks Stadium.
